Allie Whelan is a theatre maker & artist from Newbridge, Co.Kildare currently based in Dublin. She holds a BA in Drama & Theatre Studies from Trinity College Dublin.
Allie is currently developing a piece of theatre about the changing nightlife culture in Kildare alongside Emma Finegan, Jennifer Aust and Lisa Nally as part of their Momentum Award residency at The Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge.
She has previously directed plays in The Samuel Beckett Theatre and Smock Alley in Dublin, The Granary Theatre in Cork, and the Riverbank Arts Centre in Kildare. She has performed in The Moat, Naas, The Lyric Theatre in Belfast and Rothes Halls Theatre in Scotland.
Allie has worked as a festival curator with the Abbey Theatre on the Young Curators programme and during her time at Trinity College, was the Festivals & Workshops Co-ordinator of DU Players.
